This programme aims to upgrade the education of trainors and teachers to internationally acceptable standards and provide internationally recognised certification of their level of skills to make them acceptable to international employers worldwide. The inputs to these programmes  are either fresh graduates from BS Education  programs  (of various teachers colleges in the Philippines) or  teachers with  1 to 2 years experience who wish to  obtain internationally certificated  skills  as teachers or trainors. The ICTT programme was developed specifically for international education and training environments and is based on internationally recognised good practice. It is  designed to  meet a wide spectrum of  teaching environments  of  candidates. These environments can range across  teaching subject ( from general to technical and vocational programmes) , phase ( from primary to higher education,  or from basic to advanced training)  and age of learners ( from children to adults). The performance  standards embodied in the programme are valued in countries around the world.

The  programme  is  designed for :

• Graduates  of  formal  B.S.  Education  courses  or   current  teaching practitioners  for any level ( from primary and basic  education to higher and post-graduate education ) who wish to obtain  certification of  teaching skills  to qualify them for international  deployment  as teachers.
• Trainors / instructors  of  any vocational/technical course who wish to obtain certification of  training skills to qualify them for  international  deployment  as trainors.

Programme  Structure

The programme is composed of  four modules  that are designed to develop and demonstrate skills, knowledge and understanding  in :

Design & planning  and preparing  appropriate learning programmes and sessions

Practice & facilitate  active learning and learner involvement

Assessment & assessing learners progress and achievement

Evaluation & improving teaching and learning

Each module is designed to take approximately 60 hours of mentoring and  courseworks. 

Programme  Duration

• Regular  Mode :  Based on  a  5 hours  per week  schedule  of coaching  activities  and  guided courseworks, the regular mode of the programme runs for four trimesters. The regular mode is intended for fresh  B.S. Ed  graduates or  teachers with less  than  one year teaching experience.
• Accelerated  Mode : The course pace can be accelerated to 15 hours per week (for a total programme duration of 4 months) for participants with at least  a year of proven teaching experience.
